At Adaptable Recruitment, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a growing organisation and become part of a great, supportive team.
Salary: £35,000 - £45.000 - Depending on experience.
Location: Runcorn - Office based - hybrid option.
Holidays: 20 days holiday plus bank.
Benefits: Car allowance/Monthly commission
The Role
A pure new business role for a driven self-starter. You'll own your pipeline, open new doors, and win profitable partnerships. This is a high-impact position within a fast-paced team where you'll be central to driving growth, brand presence, and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage your own sales pipeline
- Drive new business via calls, email, LinkedIn, networking & face-to-face meetings
- Qualify leads, nurture prospects & convert opportunities
- Lead meetings, present services & pitch marketing materials
- Negotiate contracts and pricing
- Prepare quotes, tenders & ensure compliance
- Build strong client relationships and deliver excellent service
- Conduct market/competitor research to spot new opportunities
- Work closely with marketing to support campaigns & elevate brand visibility
- Exceed sales targets, revenue goals & KPIs
- Field-based approx. 80%, with 20% office time for follow-ups & admin
Ideal Background
- Experience in FM, Maintenance, Construction, Property or Electrical services
- Proven B2B sales or business development track record
- Confident managing a full sales cycle independently
- Strong with decision-makers-phone and face-to-face
- Commercially minded, target-driven, and resilient
- Excellent communication, negotiation & relationship skills
- Highly organised with strong time management
- Positive, proactive, team-oriented mindset
- Full UK driving licence
