Looking for your next step in HR where you can genuinely make a difference?
We're recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy and supportive People team. This is a varied role that will see you working closely with managers across the business, providing expert guidance on employee relations matters while helping to create a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
The Role
No two days will be the same. You'll take ownership of a broad range of employee relations cases, from absence and performance management through to disciplinary and grievance matters, providing practical, balanced advice that helps managers make the right decisions.
Beyond casework, you'll be a trusted partner to operational leaders, helping them build confidence in managing their teams, improving people processes and supporting wider HR initiatives that drive engagement and retention.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing employee relations cases from start to finish.
- Advising and supporting managers on people-related issues.
- Supporting absence management and occupational health processes.
- Coaching managers to handle people matters effectively and confidently.
- Delivering guidance and training on HR best practice.
- Contributing to policy reviews and continuous improvement projects.
- Producing and interpreting people data to identify trends and inform decisions.
- Supporting initiatives that improve employee engagement and wellbeing.
What They're Looking For
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor position, with responsibility for managing employee relations cases independently.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting managers in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence dealing with sensitive and sometimes challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or currently studying towards it.
- Someone who is approachable, pragmatic and genuinely enjoys helping people solve problems.
Why Apply?
This is a great opportunity to join an organisation where the HR team is valued, trusted and involved in shaping the employee experience. You'll have the chance to build strong stakeholder relationships, influence positive change and play a key role in supporting both managers and employees across the business
