Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Partner with senior leaders to align people strategies with business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing pragmatic and commercially focused HR guidance.
  • Lead and support complex employee relations matters, ensuring balanced and effective outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement across performance management, talent development, and leadership capability.
  • Contribute to the delivery of strategic people initiatives that support organisational growth and transformation.

Supporting Growth & Transformation

  • Play an active role in organisational change and transformation programmes.
  • Support initiatives focused on culture, engagement, wellbeing, and employee experience.
  • Help shape and embed people practices that foster high performance and accountability.
  • Contribute to employer branding and employee value proposition initiatives that strengthen attraction and retention.
  • Utilise people data and insights to guide decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.

Operational Excellence

  • Deliver expert HR support across a broad range of people-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and HR best practice.
  • Review and develop policies and procedures to support business needs.
  • Provide practical, solutions-focused advice that balances commercial objectives with employee wellbeing and compliance.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous HR experience within Financial Services.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
  • Understanding of FCA regulatory requirements and their application within people practices.
  • CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations matters and delivering HR projects.
  • Ability to operate independently and deliver results in a fast-moving environment.
