The Role
As HR Advisor, you'll provide day-to-day HR support with a strong focus on Employee Relations. Working closely with managers across the business, you'll advise on a variety of people matters and help ensure a fair, consistent and legally compliant approach.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and suspension cases.
- Managing a varied ER caseload from start to finish, ensuring cases are handled professionally and in line with employment legislation.
- Supporting managers through formal HR processes, preparing documentation and maintaining accurate records.
- Liaising with Occupational Health providers and supporting wellbeing-related cases.
- Assisting with Employment Tribunal administration and documentation where required.
- Working collaboratively with the wider HR team to continually improve HR processes and service delivery.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist role with significant ER exposure.
- Confidence managing a varied Employee Relations caseload independently.
- A strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to influence, coach and support managers effectively.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Experience within a fast-paced HR environment, shared service or advisory function would be advantageous.
