North West (Hybrid Working) | Up to £67,000 + £5,400 Car Allowance + Bonus

The Opportunity

We are exclusively partnering with a well-established UK business to recruit an experienced Head of Account Management.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving commercial performance, customer retention, revenue forecasting and team development.

This is far more than a traditional account management position. We are looking for a commercially driven leader who can take ownership of performance, develop a high-performing team, strengthen customer engagement and drive business growth.

Key Areas of Focus

Forecasting & Ownership of Numbers

  • Own company revenue forecasting and performance reporting.
  • Deliver accurate forecasts and communicate risks and opportunities.
  • Drive accountability for revenue performance.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach and develop the Account Management team.
  • Create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Inspire, motivate and challenge the team to maximise performance.

Commercial Growth

  • Drive customer retention, profitability and account development.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts.
  • Support pricing strategies, commercial reviews and contract negotiations.

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Lead from the front in developing customer relationships.
  • Encourage greater face-to-face customer engagement.
  • Promote a proactive and commercially focused approach to account management.

Driving Change

  • Bring fresh ideas and challenge existing ways of working.
  • Build credibility with customers and stakeholders.
  • Drive improvements across the function and wider business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Account Management function.
  • Conduct regular account reviews, forecasting meetings and performance discussions.
  • Manage strategic customer relationships and support account growth.
  • Develop customer retention and commercial growth strategies.
  • Monitor performance trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Support commercial negotiations and customer reviews.

About You

  • Proven leadership experience within Account Management, Client Services, Sales or Commercial functions.
  • Strong forecasting capability and commercial awareness.
  • Track record of driving customer growth and retention.
  • Experience developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, resilient and results focused.

Experience within print, packaging, manufacturing, fulfilment or a similar complex B2B environment would be advantageous. However, exceptional candidates from other sectors will also be considered.

  • Salary up to £67,000 DOE
