Overview
Adaptable Recruitment is working with a growing organisation in Skelmersdale to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk. This is an excellent chance to join a supportive finance team in a modern working environment. The position suits someone who enjoys a varied purchase ledger role, works accurately and can confidently manage deadlines.

Key Duties

  • Processing and validating supplier invoices using internal systems
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and ensuring authorisation
  • Preparing data for scheduled payment runs
  • Assisting with month-end routines
  • Handling incoming post and carrying out administrative tasks
  • Using online banking systems when required



Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable essential
  • Good working knowledge of accounting software
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication skills when working with suppliers and internal teams
  • Solid IT skills, particularly with Excel
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the team
